After Brian launched the blog A Thought For Food in 2009, it didn’t take long for his inspired recipes, personal anecdotes, and stunning photography to gain a following. Within two years, the Emerson College grad was photographing professionally for restaurants, food brands, and magazines. His work has been featured in a range of local and national publications, including Bon Appétit, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Tasting Table, and Saveur.
Brian’s gorgeous photos reflect his contagious enthusiasm and love for food. “I love to cook. And sing,” he says. “Usually at the same time.” As any true gourmand, his favorite picks shift depending on his mood (cheese for decadence, sushi for healthiness) or the season (gin and tonic in summer, Blanton’s Manhattan in winter). And despite having experienced many high-end dining experiences, his fondest food memory is still that of a baguette, a bottle of wine, and some stinky cheese he shared with his husband on a train to Paris. “The cheese stank up the whole car and was so delicious,” he remembers. “It was a multisensory experience.”
